  Millersville University Students Working Against Tobacco Program
Smash the Butt 5k run/walk

  Alternative to Suspension Program (ATS)

Other Info:

ATS is a FREE program for teens that violate school or community tobacco policies. It consists of 4 hours of education designed to develop a deeper awareness of the teen's relationship with tobacco. While it is not a quit program, it does emphasize the importance of quitting and suggests strategies to do so.

Pre-registration is required.The eight-session program is conducted by a trained and certified facilitator who helps participants:

  • Strengthen their determination to quit.
  • Learn  to handle situations which trigger their smoking.
  • Identify healthy substitutions for smoking.
  • Develop individual plans fro dealing with the physical, social and emotional aspects of quitting smoking.
